Key Business Opportunities
Under the auspices of relevant Ministries of the Republic of Serbia, the fifth UK-Serbian Conference „Key Business Opportunities“ is to be held in Belgrade.
The Conference is held in honour of 180 years of diplomatic relations between the UK and Serbia.
After four Conferences about the relations between Serbia and the UK that were, in the opinion of former participants, successfully organized; commerce and government representatives of the two countries are looking forward to yet another excellent conference in Belgrade organized by a Belgrade-based Consulting Agency „Eurosfera“, planned for Friday, March 03, 2017.
Diplomatic relations between the United Kingdom and Serbia began in 1837, due to the fact that, among other things, Prince of Serbia Milos Obrenovic understood that Serbia should develop relations not only with the East, but also with the West. Colonel George Lloyd Hodge was appointed the first British consul to Serbia: he handed his credentials to Prince Milos in Kragujevac, the capital of Serbia, an autonomous principality in Ottoman Empire.
The Conference is supported by: British Embassy in Serbia, Department for International Development of the UK, Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Assembly of Serbia, Chamber of Commerce of Serbia, British-Serbian Chamber of Commerce, British Society of Serbia and British Business Network.
The Conference Programme and the application form are available at the main page of this website.
